Do you stock your waterways with fish?
For stocking information, call the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Cedarville Fish Hatchery at 301-888-2423.
I found an injured animal. Where can I take it?
Injured wildlife may be reported to Second Chance Wildlife Center by calling 301-926-WILD. Second Chance Wildlife Center is located at 7101 Barcellona Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20879.
Beavers are taking down trees and causing flooding problems. Where can I report this?

PERMITS
How can I reserve a recreation building?
Do I need a permit to reserve a park area?

To guarantee a specific site, rent a garden plot, or to find the locations of these sites, call the Park Permit Office at 301-918-8111; TTY 301-918-8123.
Boaters May I put my boat in your lake?
Boats may be put in at Patuxent River Park in Upper Marlboro. A permit is required. Call ahead to the park office at 301-627-6074; TTY 301-699-2544. Canoes and flat boats are available for rent at Cosca Regional Park in Clinton. You cannot put your own boat in the lake. For information call, 301-868-1397; TTY 301-699-2544. Boating and swimming is prohibited in Lake Artemesia in College Park. This is a recreational area for hiking, biking, walking, etc. For other information about Lake Artemesia, call 301-927-2163; TTY 301-699-2544.

The Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Prince George's County Division, ensures the safety, security, and environmental protection of the Commission's property.

Where can tickets/citations be paid?
The Records Management section located at 6700 Riverdale Road, Riverdale, Maryland collects payments for civil and parking tickets issued by Park Police officers in Prince George's County. Tickets may be paid in person or by mail. Cash, checks and money orders are accepted; credit cards are not accepted. Are fingerprinting services available at Park Police?
Fingerprinting for child care, employment and adoption purposes is provided by volunteers each Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Park Police Headquarters on a first come-first served basis (limited to 25). Fingerprinting for Immigration and Naturalization is not performed. Fingerprinting information is available by calling 301-429-5691; TTY 301-459-5475.
The Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Prince George's County Division, is responsible for M-NCPPC park properties and facilities within the county. They are not to be confused with the United States Park Police, a federal agency.


Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex
What is the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex and where is it?
This facility is located approximately one mile from the interchange of I-95 and Landover Road (Route 202), at 8001 Sheriff Road, Landover, Maryland 20785, adjacent to the Redskins' Fed Ex Stadium. The telephone number is 301-583-2400. The multi-level sports facility includes a field house, fitness center, gymnastics center, aquatics center, outdoor track with football/soccer field, support facilities, festival field, playground picnic area and trails, fossil interpretive area and pavilion, and ample free parking.
Is this facility open to the public?
This facility is open year-round to both the recreational user and elite athletes in training. Stop by to check out classes, special events, and membership packages.
Can individuals involved in sports train there?
Yes. Training times/equipment and facilities in multiple sports are offered, i.e., swimming, weight training, gymnastics, and track.
What type of pool is located there?
There is one 50-meter indoor competition pool with partial movable bottom, wet classrooms for aquatics courses, and a leisure pool with splash features and water slides.
Are there locker rooms?
Yes. There are large, well-appointed lockers rooms for men and women.
What is the learning component that is offered?
An interactive learning exhibit area is featured, along with classrooms for general educational programs. Dedicated learning spaces for specific educational programs are offered, and computers with Internet hookup are available.
What is the fossil area?
This facility is built adjacent to an area that contains examples of world famous 60 million-year- old fossil formations. There is a 2,000 square foot pavilion area for displays and classes, with many pathways lined with interpretive signs.
What other amenities are available?
There is a food and beverage concession, along with a sporting goods pro shop and an area for personal fitness trainers.

May I cut dead trees on park property?
Cutting any tree on park property is prohibited. If a tree has fallen and has been cut in sections and left on site, you may take the wood provided you don't drive your vehicle off the road surface.


PUBLICATIONS
What kinds of publications do you have?
The department offers several publications referencing information about activities, facilities, and special events. To receive any of these, call the Customer Service Help Desk at 301-699-CALL (2255); TTY 301-699-2544.
The GUIDE To Parks and Recreation Classes and Activities is published three times per year (May, August, and December) and lists classes and activities for the upcoming season. A copy is mailed to all Prince George's County households. Copies are also available at public libraries and Commission community centers.
In Any Event is a monthly calendar listing recreation activities, programs, and special events. It is available at community centers and other M-NCPPC facilities, and may also be found at public libraries.

What sports leagues do you offer, and what are the fees?
The following sports are offered in competitive leagues, clinics and tournaments for youth and adults: basketball, baseball, gymnastics, touch football, soccer, tennis, boxing, kickboxing, and special athletic outreach programs. Numerous volunteer opportunities for teens, adults, and seniors exist throughout the Department of Parks and Recreation.
