| 17th Annual Patuxent Art League Open Juried Exhibition
December 9-31 Main Gallery Watercolor artist and teacher, Frederick (Fritz) Schuler Briggs, chose 58 artists from the 112 entrants into this annual exhibition. MR. Briggs will give a gallery talk and announce the winners during the opening reception this Sunday Dec 9 from 2-4 pm. Six cash prizes were awarded and 4 honorable mentions. |

| Black History Month Exhibition, ‘Cross the Tracks: An Historical Review of African Americans and Railroads February 4-March 4, Reception: Sunday, February 4, 2-4 pm The 2007 Black History Month exhibition examines the complex relationship between African Americans and railroads. 'Cross the Tracks graphically illustrates the impact that railways had on its African American employees and their communities. |
