Park Permits
Permits are needed to use many Commission recreation facilities throughout Prince George's County. Permits for the Adelphi Mill, athletic fields, bandwagon, garden plots, open shelters, recreation centers (air conditioned/heated), and regional parks are issued by the Commission's Sports/Permit Division. For information and availability regarding these facilities contact the Park Permit Office. All fees and deposits are subject to change. Review the Rules and Regulations for Park Permitted Sites.

CANCELLATION POLICY (effective 5/1/04): All cancellations prior to five (5) business days of an event will result in an 80% refund of the cost of the facility. All cancellations within four (4) business days of an event will not be eligible for any refund.
Location/Directions -
Located in Lanham, Maryland, near the Capital Beltway (I-495) and Route 50. The office is located in the Forbes Business Park off of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway (Route 704).
From the Capital Beltway (I-495) take Exit 19A (Route 50 East). Take Exit 8 off of Route 50 (Martin Luther King Jr. Highway). Continue North on Martin Luther King Jr. Highway. Bear to the right on Forbes Boulevard. Go approximately 3/10 of a mile and make a left at the gold sign that reads FORBES CENTER. Make an immediate right and continue around the corner of the building to 4325, Suite A.
From New Carrollton, take Route 450, (Annapolis Road) East toward Bowie. Pass Enterprise Plaza. At the intersection just beyond Comcast Cable Co. make a right onto Forbes Boulevard. Continue on Forbes Boulevard and cross over Martin Luther King Jr. Highway. Proceed approximately 3/10 of a mile. Make a left at the gold sign that reads FORBES CENTER. Make an immediate right and continue around the corner of the building to 4325, Suite A.

- Electricity is not available at any of the shelters. Amplification or excessive noise is prohibited. Renters are not allowed to have a moon bounce, dunk tank or pony rides.
- Open Shelters are reserved from 10am to 7pm. Only one permit is issued per day. In the event that persons are occupying reserved picnic areas upon your arrival, please show them your permit and if needed, call Park Police for assistance - 301-459-3232.
- Rain Cancellation Policy: Must be a steady all day rain for refund or reschedule of event.

(Sits across from Paint Branch Golf Course entrance.) From University Blvd. West, go past Metzerott Rd/Azalea Lane (at traffic light) and make next right onto Metzerott Road (continued from previous Metzerott Rd on the left).

The picnic shelter is the wood structure located behind the PG Ballroom & Kentland-Columbia Park Community Center.

Continue past Tayac Elementary & Lord Baltimore Middle Schools and Steed Road, left on Rose Valley Drive, right on Jacqueline Drive. Entrance Is past school on the left.
