Art & Architecture Tour

Architectural Historian Susan Pearl will be your guide as you visit Prince George's County landmark houses associated with the famous Early American portrait painters, Charles Willson Peale and family. Brentwood Art Center
3901 Rhode Island Avenue, Brentwood, MD

Located in the heart of the Gateway Arts District, the new Brentwood Art Center will feature a spacious art gallery, contemporary craft shop and class/meeting room on the street level operated by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Division. The fully accessible second floor, to be managed by the Gateway Community Development Corporation, will house gallery and studio space, with 24-hour access for resident artists. Brentwood Arts Center will be the place for people of all ages to meet, shop, explore their creative talents, and experience the excitement of the local and international art world.

The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center's Prince George's County room is available to county arts groups at no charge for workshops, meetings, and seminars. Call 301-454-1450 to schedule. Registrations for classes and camps are not taken at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.

Artists

The Arts and Cultural Heritage Division is developing an inventory of Prince George's County performing artists including, but not limited to, musicians, actors, theatre professionals, dancers, etc. for a listing in a new County Registry of Performing Artists and Companies.
