Ongoing Registration for Kids Care
This program offers licensed, after-school (2-6 pm) child care during the school year for children ages 5-12 (as of August 31, 2008). Call for space availability. Fees are payable in 10 installments of $155 for the 2008-2009 School Year. There is a mandatory registration fee of $25. For the scheduled payment plan, the first installment of $180{$155 +$25} is due at the time of registration. Program begins August 25. Registration for Fall Classes
The Fall 2008 Guide to Parks and Recreation classes, programs and events will be distributed to M-NCPPC facilities in Prince George's County and Prince George's County Memorial Libraries, and mailed to SMARTlink account holders during the week of August 1. Registration for Prince George's County residents begins at 7 am, Monday, August 11, and at 7 am, Monday, August 18 for residents of other jurisdictions. The Prince George's County Boys & Girls Club is a private, non-profit corporation incorporated under the statutes of the State of Maryland, governed by a Board of Directors. The various clubs provide Prince George's County youth opportunities to participate in many activities sponsored and conducted by 33 member clubs located throughout the county. Each club is administered by volunteers. At the present time, 3,000 volunteers serve 18,000 youth members. Member clubs offer basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, and cheerleading, track, and football programs for girls and boys ages 5 - 18. These activities are available to all Prince George's County youth, regardless of ability and/or skill level. Participants receive instruction from coaches who are American Sports Effectiveness Program qualified. Become involved. Picnic Pavilion Rental
Host your next event at our outdoor picnic pavilion. Our picnic area seats 50 and is conveniently located near grills, tennis and basketball courts, baseball and football fields, and a playground. Reservations required.

Old Maryland Farm Activities & Programs

Fitness Assessments (by appointment)
This is a scientific testing format that determines one's fitness level. It aids in establishing a safe and appropriate exercise-training program while providing baseline information to chart your progress. Two types of assessments are offered - basic and deluxe. A good, historical murder mystery unfolds during a tour of this Civil War era home whose family became entangled in the intrigue surrounding the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. View our photographic exhibit entitled "Road to Freedom," which highlights the struggles of enslaved people in Prince George's County, the State of Maryland, and the nation over a 200-year period.

Darnall's Chance House Museum Tours
Darnall's Chance was built in 1742 by a wealthy Scottish merchant and entrepreneur named James Wardrop. Museum tours highlight the similarities and differences between Mr. Wardrop's wife, Lettice Lee, and the lives of other 18th century women, gentry, middling, and enslaved, who lived here. Looking to do something different with your children? Our gymnastics workshops provide a safe, fun environment for children to play, and a great introduction to our gymnastics facility.
