Birding Hike at Fran Uhler Natural Area, 7:30 am

Birding Hike at Lake Artemesia, 7:30 am
Join with members of the Prince George's Audubon Society at Lake Artemesia for a nature/birding hike. Explore varying ecosystems around the lake and wooded areas and discover the variety of bird species and other wildlife living in this habitat. Meet at the parking lot at 55th Avenue and Berwyn Road. Family Bicycle Tour at Lake Artemesia, 8-10:30 am
Enjoy a casual, 6-mile, Park Ranger guided bike ride along the Paint Branch Trail from Lake Artemesia in Berwyn Heights to Cherry Hill Community Park in College Park. Have a wonderful time along this beautiful, scenic ride with sites of nature and wildlife. Each participant will receive the Anacostia Tributary Trail System brochure map. All riders must wear bike helmets. Meet at the parking lot at 55th Avenue and Berwyn Road.

Patuxent River Rural Legacy Bicycle Ride, 7-9 am (register and go)
Register for the Oxon Hill Bicycle and Trail Club's annual ride showcasing Prince George's County's Patuxent River Rural Legacy Area. The 62-mile route (100 kilometers) begins at Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary with rest stops at Mount Calvert, an 18th century manor house, and then to Clyde Watson Boating Area, where Magruder's Ferry once crossed the Patuxent River, and finishes at the Town of Eagle Harbor overlooking the Patuxent River. Two optional shortcuts provide shorter routes of 24 or 46 miles. The registration fee covers food and drink at four locations, marked route, a map and cue sheet, on-road assistance and sag support, and an after-ride picnic. Pre-registration is available at www.ohbike.org.
All ages welcome. (Children 17 and under ride free, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult, and must have the entry form release signed by a parent or guardian.)

Hiking with the Appalachian Mountain Club, 11:30 am
Join the Appalachian Mountain Club on this 4-mile hike at Patuxent River Park's Jug Bay Natural Area. Designed for beginners, this leisurely hike takes in the beautiful views of Jug Bay with its osprey and bald eagles. Bring lunch and meet with members at 11:30 am or come at 12:30 pm to start the hike. Reservations required.

Kayak Trip with the Patuxent Riverkeepers, 9 am-2 pm
For paddling enthusiasts, join the Patuxent Riverkeepers on this 3-mile kayak trip along the new Patuxent River Water Trail. The trip starts at a river location near Route 4 and ends at Jug Bay with a stop at Mount Calvert Historic Site. Transportation provided.
