DESCRIPTION:Through precision and technique\, the artist explores human expression\, emotion\, and spirituality in this collection of realistic portrait drawings and paintings.  This exhibit will be on display at the Publick Playhouse from Jan. 4-Mar. 22\, 2027\, and can be viewed during regular facility hours (M-F\, 9 am-5 pm). Please note that exhibits cannot be viewed when a performance or event is in progress. Before viewing an exhibit\, please call the Box Office at 301-277-1710 to check the performance schedule.

SUMMARY:Improvisation\, 6-week Class
DESCRIPTION:Get ready to think on your feet and act in the moment! This fast-paced class will help develop the core skills every actor needs through fun\, engaging improv games and exercises. Students can strengthen their listening skills\, creativity\, spontaneity\, focus\, confidence\, storytelling\, vocal expression\, physical awareness\, and teamwork while exploring how to make bold choices on stage. Improv encourages actors to trust their instincts\, accept and build on ideas\, and remain fully present in every scene. \n\n\n\nRecommended Requirements: This is a highly interactive class. Active participation and a willingness to take creative risks are a must. There are no wrong answers in improv—only opportunities to learn and grow. \n\n\n\nThis in-person class takes place on Tuesday evenings\, January 5-February 9\, 2027\, from 6:30pm-8pm. Registration will open in mid-November. Participants must register for the entire course; no drop-ins.
