Discover the outdoors through hands-on science, nature exploration, and environmental education at Patuxent River Park. Each session features a different nature topic with engaging activities, field observations, and guided learning.
Register for a single class or attend the full series. Registration is required for each class.
Fall 2026 Topics:
– Sept. 9: Wetlands & Wildlife at Jug Bay (includes a pontoon boat tour)
– Sept. 23: Monarch Butterflies, Migration & Habitat
– Oct. 7: Tree Leaves, Photosynthesis & Respiration
– Oct. 21: Autumn Science, Seasonal Change & Winter Preparation
– Nov. 4: Seeds, Seed Dispersal & Plant Survival
Program Highlights:
– For homeschool students ages 5-10
– Hands-on nature and science activities
– A different topic each session
– Opportunities to make friends while learning outdoors
