Teens ages 12-17, take a break from the summer heat and join us at the Publick Playhouse for a FREE movie screening (and snacks!). How to Train Your Dragon is a 2025 American fantasy adventure film and a live-action remake of the 2010 animated film by DreamWorks Animation and loosely based on the 2003 novel by Cressida Cowell. The film was written and directed by Dean DeBlois, who co-wrote and directed the animated film, and stars Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gabriel Howell, Julian Dennison, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Peter Serafinowicz, and Nick Frost, with Gerard Butler reprising his role as Stoick the Vast. How to Train Your Dragon is a faithful, action-packed adventure following Hiccup, an awkward Viking teen who struggles to fit into his dragon-slaying village. When he befriends a feared Night Fury he names Toothless, their bond challenges centuries of tradition and changes his world forever.
