September is National Mushroom Month! Discover the fascinating world of fungi on a guided mushroom hike.
Join a park naturalist and members of the Mycological Association of Washington, DC, to search for and identify mushrooms found along the trails. Learn about the diversity, ecology, and unique characteristics of these often-overlooked forest residents.
Designed for ages 8 and up. While we may encounter edible species, this program focuses on mushroom identification and appreciation rather than foraging.
Clearwater Nature Center is located in Cosca Regional Park in Clinton, MD.
