About Oxon Hill Manor
In 1927, the home was purchased by Benjamin Sumner Welles, the U.S. Undersecretary of State, whose lavish parties played host to both foreign dignitaries and domestic statesmen. History reveals that the estate hosted many prominent figures including President Franklin D. Roosevelt and possibly Sir Winston Churchill.
The stately, 49-room, Neo-Georgian estate is a perfect canvas for your next event. Come inside and admire the spacious grand foyer with black and white marble floors. Enjoy a photo opportunity in the drawing room or host a dinner with the large Louis XV fireplace as an event centerpiece. Relax on the terrace and enjoy the beauty of the magnificent formal English gardens and reflecting pool. Dance the night away with over 200 guests on the tented patio. Expert and courteous staff are on hand to accommodate requests.
