Cancels All Outdoor Programs
Riverdale, MD – M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George’s County announces the cancelation of all outdoor programming for June 8 – 9 due to smoke from wildfires in Eastern Canada creating unhealthy air quality in the Washington Metropolitan area.
All facilities that provide indoor space will remain open, and indoor programs will continue as scheduled. Patrons are encouraged to postpone visits to:
- Parks
- Trails
- Outdoor football, baseball, soccer, futsal fields
- Outdoor tennis, pickleball, basketball courts
- Playgrounds
- Golf courses
- Picnic pavilions
- Campgrounds
- Playgrounds
- Trap & skeet
- Old Maryland farm
- Any other outdoor Parks and Rec facility
