Under the current weather conditions, the Department is opening designated emergency warming centers for individuals and families without heat, experiencing homelessness, or otherwise in need of shelter during the storm.

Weather Alert: Due to inclement weather, all M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County offices, facilities, and programs will close at 6pm on Saturday, January 24, 2026 and will remain closed through Monday, January 25, 2026
