M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George’s County Announces Closure of All Facilities and Cancellation of All Programs Due to Snow

Riverdale, Md – Due to the significant snowstorm forecasted to affect the region, the M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation announces the closure of all offices and facilities, and cancellation of all scheduled programs for January 6. The safety of our community members and staff is our top priority, and we encourage everyone to stay safe and avoid unnecessary travel during the storm.

Effective immediately, the following actions are being taken:

  • All offices and facilities, including community centers, will be closed.
  • All recreational programs, including classes, events, and sports leagues, will be canceled.
  • Outdoor facilities, including playgrounds and sports fields, will be inaccessible.

We will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates as needed.
