Rentals

Programs & Services

This modern senior activity center is built on six acres adjacent to the Laurel Regional Hospital Complex. The 23,500 square foot senior activity center was designed to meet the needs of seniors 60 and better and offers a variety of classes, activities, and special events.

Nutrition Program

The Senior Nutrition Program operated by the Prince George’s County Department of Family Services, Area Agency on Aging, offers a nutritionally balanced lunch at this center to individuals who are 60 or better.

  • Monday – Friday, 11:30 am-12:30 pm

Meal Registration: Call the Department of Family Services, Aging Services Division at (301) 265-8475. You must register at least one day in advance. The suggested donation is $4.00. If you need to cancel your meal, please do so at least two days in advance. Please bring exact change to cover your donation.

Transportation Registration: Call the Department of Public Works & Transportation Intake line at (301) 499-8603.

Note: There will be no lunch program when Prince George’s County schools have a delayed opening or are closed due to inclement weather conditions.

Membership

If you are 60 and better and reside in Prince George’s or Montgomery Counties, membership to the center is free. Non-residents may purchase a membership. To get your free Senior Identification, bring proof of residency and age to any Maryland-National Capital Parks and Planning Commission facility during normal operating hours. Not quite 60? If you are 50 to 59 years old you, too, can purchase a membership. Don’t miss out! Be sure to enjoy the benefits of this new senior activity center. 

Rentals

Great Room Rental

Looking to host a retirement party, a special birthday celebration, a wedding reception, or any other special event, The Great Room is available for rentals. It seats up to 220 people comfortably. The Great Room is well-appointed and features a platform stage, a modern sound system, and a catering kitchen. For details on rentals, please call the Rental Manager at 301-206-3350.
