Directed by newly appointed Artistic Director Randy Snight, this 90-minute production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a delightful comedy weaving together the stories of four young lovers, amateur actresses, and mischievous fairies. Set in an enchanted forest near the fictional town of Athens, Maryland, the play explores themes of love, illusion, and the unpredictable nature of desire. Bring your lawn chair, a picnic, and enjoy the Bard under the stars.

Patuxent River Kayak Trip Kayaking Through History

Guided Archaeology Paddle. Archaeologists will lead a small group of kayakers on a tour through 13,000 years of history! We will launch from Jackson’s Landing at Patuxent River Park and paddle by ancient Indigenous campsites, Colonial towns, and War of 1812 shipwrecks to learn about the countless people who once lived on the shores of the Patuxent River. A single kayak will be provided and prior experience is helpful but not necessary. Meeting spot is the Mount Calvert Soft Launch.
