A Day With Honeybees

The golden bees emerge, the sky a light cerise,

They bumble on the lazy breeze of morning’s peace,

In search of luscious flowers, they depart,

Their busy days of pollinating now restart.

Their sunny outlines can be seen amidst the trees,

As now some workers scatter as they please,

With pollen clinging to the fuzzy little bugs,

Like seeds on wind, dust carried as bees buzz.

When honey stomachs feel round and full,

They bring home nectar, honey irresistible,

Then off for more to flowers they advance,

Some shining flowers full of nectar ‘round they dance.

Some monstrous, frightening hornets buzz and circle ‘round,

While bees attack, the hornets keep their ground,

They battle but outnumbered, hornets lose and fall,

The bees put on a victory dance; they’ve won the brawl!

Back in the hive they tend unto the comb,

Caring for silky-smooth young who only know their home,

And using nectar, make their honey sweet,

To feed the queen and little babies a sweet treat.

As evening falls upon the tiring colony,

The busy bees begin back to the tree,

Where after tedious work they fall into sweet dreams,

Until tomorrow’s waiting sunrise gleams…

Whispers in the Wilderness

Beneath the boundless, azure sky,

Where winds and ancient rivers sigh,

The earth, with whispered breath, unfolds

A tale of wonders, yet untold.

The mountains rise with silent grace,

Their cragged edges, time’s embrace,

A song of stone, of centuries,

A rhythm carved by memories.

The forests hum in secret tones,

A chorus of the wild unknowns,

Each leaf, a note, each root, a word,

A language only hearts have heard.

The oceans stretch to endless deep,

Where dreams and shadows softly sleep,

With waves that dance and secrets keep,

In oceans vast, where spirits leap.

The sun, a flame, a guiding light,

Unfolds the day, dispels the night,

While stars, like diamonds, softly shine,

A cosmic map of the divine.

And in each breeze, each ray, each dawn,

The pulse of life, the earth’s own song,

Calls us to pause, to breathe, to see

The beauty in our unity.

For nature, in its boundless grace,

Is both a mirror and a place,

Where every moment, every sight,

Reflects the soul, the dark, the light.

So let us walk with humble feet,

In every meadow, every street,

And in the quiet, find the rhyme,

Of nature’s voice, transcending time.
