History in Her Hands Exhibit

Ticket Price: Free
Age: All

Visit the History in Her Hands exhibit and learn how archaeology helps to tell a fuller story of people that are often underrepresented in history. The exhibit focuses on the lives of four African American women enslaved at Darnall’s Chance. With dozens of artifacts that were excavated onsite, this exhibit connects the lives of enslaved women to the everyday objects that shaped their lives.

History in Her Hands will be available to the public without appointment:

Friday and Sunday from 12 noon – 4 pm, or by appointment Tuesday – Thursday from 10 am – 2 pm.

Admission to the exhibit is free through the month of February, but fee-based tours will be available Friday and Sunday during normal walk-in hours or by appointment Tuesday – Thursday.
