Saturday, May 31 from 11 am – 4 pm: Celebrate National Historic Preservation Month at the Surratt House Museums Saving the Past, Building the Future Festival. Meet local construction workers, tradespeople, preservationists, and other artisans who work to save historic places. Practice some of their skills like wiring a light or hewing a log. Learn the secrets behind how they keep centuries-old buildings standing for decades to come.
This day-long, interactive event is part of the county-wide Community Day Celebration. Connect with the people, places, and past that make Prince Georges County like no other. Enjoy guided museum tours, family-friendly activities, and more. This event is FREE but registration is recommended.
