Inspired by nature and classical Indian mythology, Sushama Parikh uses clay, terra cotta, ceramics, and batik to depict various members of the animal kingdom and the human form. She graduated from art school in Mumbai, did her postgraduate studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and has been a practicing artist for over 50 years.
