Explore a variety of STEM and aviation-themed sciences with a short lesson and hands-on activity. Ideal for learners ages 8-12. THIS MONTH: Discover the colors of the cosmos! In this program, budding astronomers will learn about the electromagnetic spectrum and how we see our universe. Then, ignite their creativity as they make their very own galaxy slime filled with stars. Registration is not required and drop-ins are welcome.

Color Your World! Learning about Nature’s Coloring Agents: Homeschool Day

Celebrate the end of summer by experimenting with natural dyes. Learn how colonists in the 18th century used natural coloring agents to dye wool and cloth. Join us in the Kitchen Garden as we look at plants and how they were used to color our world in the colonial period. Kids will make their own colorful tie dye shirts with contemporary dyes.  Advanced registration required with Parks Direct.
