Event Information

In recognition of the contributions that the USCT regiments made to the Civil War effort, children and adults alike are encouraged to visit the Surratt House Museum on April 26th for our first Marching Toward Justice: Living History Day. This hands-on, interactive day brings together a number of living historians who specialize in historic food, music, and weaponry. Come meet them, practice some of their skills like military drills or hearth cooking, and learn about life on the front lines. For history enthusiasts, a special rifle firing and drilling demonstration will take place starting at 1 PM. This event is FREE but registration is recommended.
